Culross Traditional Building Skills Event
The Fife & Tayside Traditional Building Forum organised an event at the National Trust for Scotland property of Culross Palace on 20 & 21 March 2017, which featured apprentices demonstrating traditional building skills including masonry, slate roofing, joinery and plastering.
The school children got the unique opportunity to try the trades being demonstrated by local tradespersons from Braisby Roofing, T J Ross, Dalmack Joinery and Fife Council.
The event was also open to the public and highlighted the importance of traditional building skills in the construction sector and the necessity for traditional building skills to protect the built heritage of communities in Fife and across Scotland.
